AutoX Walk — Privacy Policy

AutoX Walk is an autocross course-walk, study and memory app for iPhone, developed and published by Nykylo Media LLC ("Nykylo Media", "we", "us"). This policy explains what the app does with your information. It applies to the iOS version on the App Store (bundle ID com.nykylomedia.AutoXWalk).

Summary

• No account, no sign-in, no ads and no tracking.
• Your courses, GPS recordings, markers, notes and voice notes are stored only on your iPhone.
• The app has no server. Nykylo Media never receives your location, recordings or course data.
• We do not sell, share or rent any information.

Location

AutoX Walk asks for location access "While Using the App". Location is used only while you are recording a course walk, to draw the shape of the course and to place your markers. If you lock your screen during a walk, recording continues (iOS shows a location indicator) and stops when you pause, finish or discard the walk. The app never requests "Always" access and never uses your location in the background otherwise.

Your GPS recording is saved on your iPhone with the course. It is not uploaded or shared.

Microphone and voice notes

The microphone is used only while you hold the voice-note button during a course walk. Each voice note is saved as an audio file on your iPhone, attached to the marker where you recorded it. Voice notes are never uploaded, transcribed by us or shared.

Maps

Map backgrounds are provided by Apple Maps (MapKit). To show map tiles, your iPhone requests map imagery for the area being displayed from Apple. Apple handles these requests under Apple's Privacy Policy. Nykylo Media does not receive them.

Information stored on your device

Courses, raw and processed GPS points, markers, notes, voice notes, memory-test scores and settings are kept in the app's private storage on your iPhone. While a walk is being recorded, a temporary recovery file is kept so the walk can be restored if the app closes unexpectedly; it is removed when the walk is saved or discarded. If you use iCloud or computer backups of your iPhone, this app data is included in those backups under your own Apple account, as with any app.

You can delete a course (with its recording and voice notes) at any time in the app. Deleting the app removes all of its data from your iPhone.

Advertising, analytics and tracking

AutoX Walk contains no ads, no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs and no tracking. It does not use your device's advertising identifier.

Data we do not collect

Nykylo Media does not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, location, audio or payment information through AutoX Walk.

Children

AutoX Walk is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example, the EU/UK under GDPR or California under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information. Because AutoX Walk keeps everything on your device and sends nothing to us, you control that data directly: edit or delete it in the app, or delete the app. You can also email us with any question.

Safety

Use AutoX Walk while walking or parked. Never interact with the app while driving.

Changes to this policy

If a future version adds a feature that changes how data is handled (for example, sharing a course), we will update this page before that version is released. The date at the top shows the latest version.
